There’s a reason Vail is known for legendary skiing, and the 2027 Winter Summit is your chance to experience it alongside fellow BLUE HAWK Members and Partners. As Colorado’s largest ski resort, Vail offers more than 5,300 acres of skiable terrain, 278 trails, 32 lifts and nearly 3,000 acres of iconic Back Bowls, with something for skiers of nearly every ability level.
From cruising perfectly groomed runs to exploring wide-open bowls, you’ll find endless ways to enjoy a day on the mountain. And with an average of 354 inches of snow each year, spectacular Rocky Mountain scenery and Vail’s renowned terrain, it’s easy to see why skiers return year after year.
But at Winter Summit, the experience is about more than the skiing. A day on the mountain is another opportunity to connect, laugh and make memories with fellow Members and Partners outside of the traditional meeting setting. Grab your gear, meet up with friends, old and new, and experience one of the best parts of winter in Vail.

All activities are based on a minimum and maximum number of participants and are subject to changes and cancellations.

Snowcat tour
Wednesday, January 13: 12:30 – 4:30 PM

$280 per person
Includes: transportation, snowcat tour, guides, guide gratuity, a snack and non-alcoholic beverage.
Explore the Colorado backcountry on a guided 3-hour SnowCat Adventure through the Vail Pass Winter Recreation Area. Travel across snow-covered ridgelines and valleys from the comfort of a heated SnowCat while taking in spectacular Rocky Mountain views. Along the way, expert guides will share stories about the area’s wildlife, history and ecology, with stops for photos at scenic overlooks.

Snowshoeing

Step into a true winter wonderland with a peaceful snowshoeing adventure through the stunning landscapes of Crested Butte. Whether you’re a seasoned hiker or new to the sport, snowshoeing is an accessible and rewarding way to explore serene alpine forests, open meadows, and breathtaking mountain views. Guides will take us safely into the backcountry around Crested Butte for a unique winter adventure.
FLY FISHING
Thursday, January 14: 8:30 AM – 2:00 PM
$340 per angler
Includes: transportation, guides, guide gratuity, and fishing gear.
Experience a quieter side of Vail with a guided winter fly fishing adventure. Bundle up and cast into the clear waters of the Eagle River, where trout fishing continues throughout the winter months. With fewer anglers, beautiful mountain scenery and expert local guides, it’s a unique way to enjoy Colorado’s outdoors without hitting the slopes. No experience necessary.

Wednesday Tour: Experience Colorado’s backcountry on a two-hour guided snowmobile tour through the spectacular White River National Forest and Camp Hale National Monument. Ride across wide-open snowfields, alpine passes and high-elevation ridgelines with incredible views of the Gore, Sawatch and Elk Mountain ranges.
Along the way, you’ll visit scenic highlights including Machine Gun Ridge, Resolution Mountain and Ptarmigan Pass while learning about the fascinating history of Camp Hale, the former training site of the U.S. Army’s 10th Mountain Division during World War II.
All experience levels are welcome, from first-time riders to experienced snowmobilers. It’s the perfect combination of adventure, incredible scenery and Colorado history.
Thursday Tour: Go deeper into Colorado’s backcountry on this four-hour guided snowmobile adventure through the largest commercial snowmobile trail system in the Vail and Beaver Creek area. Climb to elevations of up to 12,500 feet and take in incredible 360-degree views of four mountain ranges, including the Continental Divide.
With more time to explore, you’ll ride through wide-open snowfields, alpine passes and high-elevation terrain while visiting highlights such as Machine Gun Ridge, Resolution Mountain, Ptarmigan Pass and Camp Hale National Monument. Professional guides will lead the way and share stories about the area’s natural beauty and fascinating military history.
For both trips: Ski-Doo snowmobile features heated hand grips for both drivers and passengers. Helmets and boots are provided. All experience levels are welcome.

Getting There
Eagle County Regional Airport (EGE)
Located approximately 34 miles from The Hythe, Eagle County Regional Airport is the closest and most convenient airport for traveling to Vail. The drive to the resort is approximately 40 minutes.
Denver International Airport (DEN)
Denver International Airport is approximately 120 miles from The Hythe. The drive to Vail typically takes just over two hours, but winter weather and mountain traffic can impact travel times.
Airport Transportation
The Hythe does not provide airport shuttle service. Several transportation options are available between Vail and both Denver International Airport (DEN) and Eagle County Regional Airport (EGE). Advance reservations are strongly recommended.

Driving & Parking
For those renting a car or driving to Vail, The Hythe offers valet parking for $65 per night. Once you arrive, a car is generally not necessary. The resort is located in Lionshead Village with easy access to restaurants, shops, the Eagle Bahn Gondola and local Vail transportation.
