Peter Warren became CEO of 97-year-old Benoist Brothers Supply in December 2017 after stints in building products manufacturing, ceramic tile distribution, and as an operating partner for a Midwest private equity group.  He effectively managed the company’s transition from family-led leadership to a broader professional management team.  Peter views Benoist’s vendors and employees as true partners with one shared goal of making our contractors’ lives easier and their businesses more successful.

He led the acquisition of BLUE HAWK member NuComfort Supply in 2018 and the sale of both companies to Heritage Distribution in 2022. Throughout all this change Peter has remained a hands-on, growth-oriented leader who is laser-focused on preserving the culture, identity and core values at Benoist, NuComfort and other companies that Heritage acquires.

Peter graduated with an A.B. from Harvard University.  He and his wife Harriette live in St. Louis and have three amazing grown kids and a wonderful new daughter-in-law. He enjoys travel, skiing, golf, and sitting around playing guitar with friends in his free time.
