Thriving Teams: Motivation Strategies for Wholesale Leaders
2:30 PM – 3:15 PM
Speakers: Dr. Maria Rouziou, Texas A&M & Bryan Abraham, Transtar A/C Supply
Learn practical strategies to boost employee motivation and engagement in wholesale distribution. This session covers techniques to foster a positive work environment, reward achievements, and align team goals with business success. Differences in job experience, past performance, age, and many other factors play a role in how salespeople and other company roles view incentives like commissions, bonuses, competitions, awards, recognition, perks, etc. This means not only that the tools that motivate one person may be different from those that motivate another but also that tools that one employee finds motivating may be outright demotivating to another. In the session, we will examine how intrinsic motivation, driven by personal growth, achievement, and the satisfaction of mastering new skills, contrasts with extrinsic motivation, which focuses on the desire for tangible rewards like money and recognition. By discussing the balance between these two types of motivation, we can highlight strategies to create a compelling incentive plan that rewards performance and encourages a passion for the work itself. Participants will leave equipped with actionable insights and tools to create an engaging and motivating work environment that leads to sustained success. Empower your workforce and drive growth!
