Don’t miss this excellent opportunity to network with fellow BLUE HAWK Members and Partners in a fun, relaxed environment. We’ve repeatedly heard that the nature of this event helps form deeper relationships more than other meetings. Participating in adventurous activities together, then reminiscing about them at networking receptions later in the day, is a hit with attendees.

DEADLINE TO REGISTER IS DECEMBER 8, 2023.

Nestled in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado, this historic town is tucked at the end of a box canyon, so you’ll see snow-capped peaks no matter which direction you look. Because of the city planners’ foresight, that old town retains much of its charm from when it was a small mining town. You won’t find a prettier setting than Telluride.

Hop onto the free gondola for a twelve-minute ride to Mountain Village, our hotel’s location, and you’ll find sleek, modern hotels, bars, boutiques, and the ski mountain’s main base area. The ski runs are laid out in a basin, making the resort easy to navigate. No matter your ability, the variety of terrain found in Telluride is equaled only by the spectacular 360-degree views of the surrounding mountains.

Not a skier? This winter wonderland has plenty of activities that will have you experiencing the great outdoors and indoors, from winter activities to dining, shopping, and unwinding in nearby natural hot springs. Telluride has something to offer everyone.

Calling all BLUE HAWK Member future leaders and potential mentors — help us continue rolling out this new leadership development program!

The NextLevel program was introduced during the Buzzworthy Workshops in Austin. Our first workshop will be at the Fall Advisory Forum and we’ll keep it going at the Winter Summit. We are still molding this program, so now is the best time to get involved and help in the development process.

Join us Tuesday afternoon for our second official NextLevel Workshop. Since we will be using the feedback from the fall event to plan this workshop, the topic will be announced after the Fall Advisory.

Snowmobiling

Groomed trails and spacious meadows offer an incredible variety of terrain for riders of any ability. Enjoy classic touring on wide trails with soft edges and gentle corners before letting loose in the meadows for some playtime.

This tour is approximately 16 miles round-trip, gaining 2,000 vertical feet with grand views of the Wilson Range, Telluride ski area, Sneffels Range, Little Cone Mountain, and, on a clear day, the La Sals in eastern Utah. Approximately 4 hours door-to-door.

Fly Fishing

The Uncompahgre River is an unparalleled, year-round fishery with excellent dry fly hatches and technical tailwater nymphing. Our guide’s pioneering access to this Blue Ribbon tailwater fishery Pa-Co-Chu-Puk at Ridgway State Park has enhanced river features, structured holding water, deep runs, and large pools, creating an ideal trout habitat. The area will challenge any angler’s skills but can reward with trout measured in pounds, not in inches.

The Uncompahgre River flows through the mountain town of Ouray, located about an hour from Telluride. The Uncompahgre River is known as the best winter fly-fishing water in the area.

Telluride Historic Walking Tour & Tasty Cocktails

Your tour begins with a cocktail at a Telluride institution, the Corner House Grill. Then, we will head out on Colorado Avenue, the main street in Telluride, to hear the interesting history of this old mining town.

Don’t worry about the cold, we’ll go inside a few places to warm up such as the Sheridan Opera House and the New Sheridan Hotel. We will learn about the Native American Ute involvement in the Telluride Valley, along with mining, ski area, festival, alternating current electricity, and architectural history. We’ll also see the site of a famous outlaw’s first bank robbery. The tour ends with a cocktail at the oldest bar in town, the Sheridan Saloon. Established in 1895, here we will experience a true relic of Colorado history while sipping on a classic cocktail and looking out to picturesque views of the surrounding mountains.

The Peaks Resort & Spa

With ski-in, ski-out access, award-winning dining, a world-class spa facility, and breathtaking views of the surrounding San Juan Mountains, The Peaks Resort & Spa is the preeminent luxury resort in Telluride Mountain Village.

The Peaks location provides easy access to the free gondola that runs between the towns of Telluride and Mountain Village. The gondola is a spectacular, 13-minute ride, and is the first and only free public transportation system of its kind in the United States. Passengers can load the gondola in either Mountain Village or Telluride and ride to the midway point (Station St. Sophia from which hiking, biking, and ski trails are accessed) then continue on to the other side.

Airport Information

Montrose (MTJ) Airport is approximately 68 miles, or 1.5 hours from The Peaks Resort. Telluride (TEX) Airport is approximately a 7-mile or 20-minute drive. While the Telluride Regional Airport is closer, flights to TEX get rerouted or canceled frequently in the winter due to weather. Montrose is a longer drive, but flights rarely get rerouted at that airport because of its location in the mountains and the ability to handle larger aircraft.

Event Shirts

OGIO Endurance Full-Zip Jacket

With flat lock seams for supreme comfort, the versatile full-zip jacket contains 90% polyester that resists rips and tears. This jacket makes a great inner layer for the days when the weather takes a turn for the worst.
