Influence, Persuade, and Drive Results:  Behavioral Science at Work

Every organization is dealing with continuing challenges in finding, hiring, and retaining the right people.  When employees have a natural connection to their work, a company experiences less turnover, higher morale, and significantly improved performance.  Aligning your people to your business strategy means taking the time to thoughtfully connect employees to their jobs, their leaders, their colleagues, and the culture and values of your organization.  We’ll examine how to create such alignment using the Predictive Index, a science-based measurement tool that for six decades has provided companies with comprehensive insight into drives, needs, and behaviors in the workplace.

You’ll also take an objective look at yourself in this session, carefully considering how to leverage your natural strengths to build exceptional teams to manage the day-to-day work.  You’ll become more aware of your own drives, needs, and behaviors and how your approach impacts those around you.  Prior to the session, you’ll complete the PI Behavioral Assessment and immediately receive a copy of your personal results to review.  We’ll ask you to refer to those results in the session as we consider the PI methodology and discuss the variety of ways this insight supports the decisions you’re making each day to drive performance and results.  See you there!

The BLUE HAWK Cup

Team HAWK versus Team BLUE.  The fiercest rivalry in HVACR golf. Sign up and see which team you’ll represent at this 9th annual Ryder Cup style tournament.

The first day will consist of 27 holes at Ross Bridge and then 18 holes at Oxmoor Valley’s Ridge Course.  Each round is played with a new foursome to maximize the networking opportunities. Join us to find out if Team HAWK can take home the trophy again or if Team BLUE will unseat the reigning champions.

Robert Trent Jones Trail

Ross Bridge is one of the longest courses in the world but offers multiple tees for golfers of all levels and will challenge even the best golfers. Like many other Trail courses, the par three holes are incredible. The beauty and challenge of each hole leads many to believe there is not one signature hole but possibly eighteen.

Oxmoor Valley, Ridge course, with its roller coaster fairways, heavy tree cover and precipitous 150-foot elevation changes, is incredibly photogenic and features some of the most spectacular par 5s on the Trail.

The BLUE HAWK Fall Advisory Forum is a wonderful place to connect with fellow members and vendors on a more personal level due to the smaller nature. One of my favorite events of the year.

Barber Motorsports Museum Tour

The Barber Motorsports Museum features the world’s largest private collection of motorcycles and the most extensive Lotus collection, anchored by the Lotus 21. The museum also displays rare race cars, a beautiful garden, art displays, and a racetrack. This is an impressive museum to visit, even if you aren’t a motorcycle or car enthusiast. The tour guides will keep entertained and amazed with all the history, one-of-a-kind vehicles, and continued innovation that is taking place at Barber. This is one you don’t want to miss.

Jones is Thirsty Wine Tasting & Pairings Event

Scott Jones knows wine—and he has a passion for sharing that knowledge. His comfortable, entertaining style sidesteps fussy wine-speak, empowering audiences to enjoy and buy wine with confidence. As a nationally recognized writer and the former Executive Editor of Southern Living, Scott’s expertise and enthusiasm are unique.

This fun tasting and pairing event will include 3 tastings and some snacks. You will learn the “why” and “where” behind each wine, food and pairing basics and wine’s health benefits.

Wednesday, October 26

Disc Golf

Disc golf is played similarly to regular golf, but instead of using clubs to whack a small ball into a hole yards away, players throw a disc into an elevated metal basket. Like regular golf, each hole and course has a certain par with the lowest score winning. No experience necessary to play in our game.  Spencer Atkins, Weathertech Distributing, an experienced disc golfer, will be leading the group and offering tips to make this a memorable experience.

Event Shirts

Peter Millar features stylish performance apparel with superior comfort on and off the course.

These sharp styles and technical performance fabric make these a staple in any wardrobe. Constructed using a lightweight, easy-care fabric that wicks moisture and stretches four ways for optimal mobility. Innovative sun protection delivers added coverage for long days spent outside. Styled with a classic design for added visual appeal.

Event shirts will feature both the 2022 BLUE HAWK Fall Advisory Forum Logo and the Robert Trent Jones Trail Logo.
